LOST AND FOUND DOGS

THIS IS A VOLUNTARY PAGE

Approval was given to our establishment at Nant Y Corn for the boarding of stray dogs in 1995, and ever since we have looked after lost and stray dogs in order to help them to get back home. Below you can view photos of any lost and found dogs that we have currently kenneled in our facilities. New photos are added all the time so please do check back regularly if you have lost your dog. To view the photos in a larger size, simply click on the thumbnails to start a slideshow.

LOST YOUR DOG - FOUND YOUR DOG - MICROCHIP YOUR DOG - IT HELPS US ALL!

Microchipping your pet gives them the best chance of being identified and returned to you if they become lost or stolen. Many kinds of pets can be microchipped including cats, dogs, rabbits and horses. Check with your vet for advice, as it will depend on the species, size and condition of your animal. Pets are lost without it and thousands of pets are lost every year and many are never reunited with their owners but microchipping can change that. While collars and tags can get caught or removed, microchipping identifies your pet permanently and harmlessly and is well worth the money and helps spare the heartache of never finding a lost pet.

HOW IT WORKS

A tiny microchip is inserted under the animal's skin. This gives the pet their own unique code. The microchip can be scanned and matched to the owner's contact details, which are kept on a database, such as the national PetLog database. You must make sure the database you are registered with has your up-to-date contact details.
